This page is all about the Dream Aquarium Screen Saver, although still in development, Dream Aquarium is fast becoming a favourite of mine, the animation is extremely smooth with surprisingly realistic schooling, and much more planned for the final release...

The current trial version includes three aquariums (plus a blue backdrop) you can see some of them on the screenshots page, the developer intends to make more available eventually, including a coral reef, a jellyfish tank, a marine tank, and a trout stream.

Two different species of fresh water fish are available in the trial version, the retail version contains many more, the developer intends to add even more species as time goes by.

Trial downloads for Windows 2000, XP and Vista are currently available from the developers website, Windows 95/98 & ME are unlikely to ever be supported, however the developer is expecting to port the screensaver to Mac OS X after the final Windows version goes on sale, and a possible Linux version is still under consideration.

The current trial version can be downloaded and used for free, but dims the screen after 10 minutes, the retail version is available for $19.95 - I have high hopes for this one... :-)
